Three Apps to Keep Up To Date on London 2012 Olympics

The Olympics are fully underway and there are many ways to keep tabs on what is happening while you’re out of the house and away from the TV. I’ve checked out some of the best apps that you can play around with to get the most out of your Olympics experience.

NBC Olympics Live Extra

The NBC Olympics Live Extra app that is available on iOS and Android devices will allow you to watch high quality feeds of any live events that are taking place at the Olympics if you have a cable/satellite subscription in the United States.

I tried the app out for quality and I really liked it. You’re free to choose the events that you want to watch, provided that they are live, which is better than trying to find your events on the scattered coverage NBC provides through their TV viewing experience of the Olympics.

London 2012 Results App

The London 2012 Results App is also available on both iOS and Android. The app provides up to date information regarding all the London 2012 events including the latest news, medal winners and medal tables. You can also follow your home nation and keep tabs on the events that they will be competing in and medals that they may have won in the process.

I’d recommend the app if you want to keep up on the happenings around London during the thirtieth Olympic Games.

London 2012 Join In App

Are you in London for the Olympic Games? You might want to check out the London 2012 Join in App on iOS and Android. The app is perfect for visitors to the city during the Olympics as it provides maps around the city to all the venues and possible activities to do outside of the Olympics.

Another app for those in London either during or after the Olympics is the Travel Advisor app, London City Guide. It provides lots of activities and routes around the city so you can always find something to do, even after the Olympics have been and gone.

Let us know your experiences with the apps deigned for the London 2012 Olympics. If you have any other recommendations we’d love to hear about them in the comments section below or on the Facebook page, maybe even send us a tweet :D

Thank you for the reply :D

I get occasional freezing on the NBC streaming app, especially when someone sends a text but other than that I’m happy with them. I haven’t tried out anything from Dish but the idea seems neat!
