Walking Dead FPS Officially Announced By Activision [Video]

If you happen to be a fan of AMC’s hit TV show, The Walking Dead, or even a fan of the comic books by the same name then you might be happy to learn that Activision will be making a first-person shooter (FPS) based upon the franchise.

Telltale Games is in the midst of their episodic adventure games based upon The Walking Dead which focusses more on the story telling aspect and not blood and gore that most zombie franchise fans expect.

The Walking Dead FPS from Activision will be based upon the TV show and will take place right before the first season of the show began. Players will take control of either Daryl Dixon or his brother Merle. The game will be developed by Terminal Reality Studios.

The Walking Dead is set for a 2013 launch on Xbox, Playstation and PC. It will surely be a hit among fans of the show and fans of shooters in general. I doubt it’ll deliver the numbers that the Call of Duty games out of Activision put up every year but it should be another great success for the video game publisher.
