Pigs to Take Control in Next Angry Birds

According to Pocket-Lint Rovio may be planning a role-reversal in the next rendition of the Angry Birds franchise.

Since the release of the original Angry Birds by Rovio in 2009 the game has gone on to release a Seasons version, a movie-inspired Rio version and the most recent Space edition. All four of the games featured flying birds destroying the well fortified pigs. If all is correct from Pocket-Lint then the fifth Angry Birds will have the pigs in control, tasked with defending the eggs that they have stolen from the birds.

Die hard fans of the franchise need not worry though, the catapult will apparently stick around as will the ice, rock and wood structures that we have become accustomed to seeing.

As Rovio is now hard at work with their next franchise, Amazing Alex, we will have to wait for more details on the upcoming Angry Birds release.
