“Xbox 720″ Leaked Document Puts Next-Gen Console at $299 in 2013 With Kinect V2
If the document leak that was uncovered today proves to be true then the next-generation “Xbox 720″ will be with us in the second-half of next year at a dirt-cheap initial price of $299.
The document spans 56-pages and has detail on almost all aspects of the console as well as references to Xbox TV Apps, Project SmartGlass and a Metro Dashboard. The document also gives out information on what would be Kinect V2 and some all new Kinect glasses codenamed ’Fortaleza’. The glasses, if real, would provide augmented reality in what would seem to be a Project SmartGlass kind of way.
There is no telling how real this supposed “leak” is. It could be entirely fabricated and one sure sign of fabrication is the $299 price point for the new console and Kinect. Then again, why would anyone go to the lengths of fabricating a 56-page document? The leaked document was removed from Scribd due to copyright complaints. ArsTechnica does have a pretty lengthy write-up about it though if you’d like to peruse on over there.
