Verizon to Offer 300Mbps FiOS

There is no doubting that some of the fastest internet in the United States is provided by Verizon’s fiber optics network, FiOS. Thing is, not everyone can have it, I don’t have it where I live and I’m certainly not willing to fork over the thousands Verizon would ask to bring it to my area. I really wish they would bring it though, especially now! Verizon announced today that they’d be pushing the internet through their FiOS network at 300Mbps download and 65Mbps upload.

FiOS comes at a price though, a quite hefty price. For the current 150Mbps (soon to be upgraded to 300Mbps) you could be paying $200 a month. A price tag most families just can’t afford to pay out. It is not known whether Verizon will increase the price tag along with the speed or whether the pricing structures will remain the same.
