KegDroid: Android Powered Beer Dispenser

Here is Google employee Paul Carff showing his custom-built Android beer dispenser. The dispenser uses a Motorola Xoom running ICS and uses an Audrino microcontroller to keep everything in check. Using an NFC card on the sensor located underneath the device Paul gains access to the system and is able to pour himself a beer.

It is all quite neat and a very interesting project that Carff took on. I could see this potentially leading to a future style of beer dispensing in bars such as requiring purchases to scan an ID before the machine will allow a bar employee to dispense.
